Terms of service
The agreement between you and Lore Hex, Inc. for use of the Lore Hex inference API.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you (“Customer”) and Lore Hex, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Miami, Florida. By creating an account or sending a request to the API, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
2. The service
Lore Hex provides programmatic access to language models over an HTTP API. The catalog
of available models is published at lorehex.co/models and in
machine-readable form at /api/v1/models. We may add models, and we may
deprecate them — for a deprecation we will give at least 30 days’ notice to
accounts with recent traffic on the affected model.
3. Accounts and keys
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret and for all usage under your keys. Notify us at security@lorehex.co promptly if you believe a key has been exposed; we will rotate it. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- Break the law, or help someone else break it
- Generate child sexual abuse material
- Produce targeted harassment, threats, or content intended to defame a real person
- Run large-scale disinformation or coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Develop weapons, or provide operational uplift for attacks on critical infrastructure
- Attack computer systems you are not authorized to test — our security models are provided for defensive work, authorized testing, and research, and using them against third-party systems without authorization is a breach of these terms
- Infringe intellectual property or misappropriate trade secrets
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or billing
- Resell raw API access as an undifferentiated commodity without a written agreement with us
We may suspend an account that violates this section. Where the violation is not severe we will try to reach you first.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the prompts you send. As between you and Lore Hex, you own the completions returned to you, and we assign to you whatever rights we may have in them. You are responsible for having the rights to the input you send, and for how you use the output.
We do not train on your content and we do not retain it. See the data policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
Model output is generated, not verified. It can be wrong. Do not rely on it as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and apply human review wherever the consequences warrant it.
6. Fees
Usage is billed per token at the rates published for each model, metered by our records of token counts. Prepaid balances are drawn down as you use them. Fees exclude taxes, which you are responsible for except for taxes on our net income. Price changes take effect 30 days after we post them; usage after that date is billed at the new rate. Prepaid balances are non-refundable except where required by law or where we terminate you without cause.
7. Availability
We work to keep the service up but do not promise uninterrupted availability under these terms. Accounts on a written enterprise agreement may have a service level agreement; where one exists, it controls over this section.
8. Warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to either party’s breach of confidentiality, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Lore Hex against third-party claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, from content you submit, or from your use of output.
11. Term and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for material breach if it is not cured within 15 days of notice, or immediately for a violation of section 4 that creates legal or safety risk. On termination your access ends and unused prepaid balance is handled under section 6. Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email to account holders. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the change.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes is the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.
14. General
These terms, together with the data policy and privacy policy, are the entire agreement between the parties on this subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Neither party may assign this agreement without the other’s consent, except in connection with a merger or sale of substantially all assets. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
